  • Jared: So what’s your next video on anyway
  • Patrick: I’m actually thinking of doing one demystifying mega evolution.
  • Jared: Mega evolution? good luck with that can worms. Bit ambitious dont you think
  • Patrick: Ahahaha nooo, whatt? Jared, Mega Evolution is simple.
  • Patrick jumps up - new angle
  • You just give the corresponding megastone to the Pokémon, ben 10 the living daylights out of your keystone (at the gates) and wham. POKEMON but bigger…. and cooler. [sits back down]
  • Cut back to Patrick on couch
  • Patrick: See, simple. No mystery there
  • *cut to Jared talking to Patrick on couch *
  • Jared: But Patrick it, can’t be that simple. Like what even are these stones? Like, where’d they come from?
  • Patrick: NO no, Jared, come on, its easy. The stones….. they ahhhhh….. Well Sycamore… wait no, cause Zinnia……… (confused until realization)

  • Patrick (green screen overlay): Now you see step kids, that’s the face of a man who just lost the last 3 months of their life diving down a rabbit hole that we are still stuck.. we are still stuck down there.

But it’s definitely not what you think.

What it actually is something that saps away at your sanity and motivation for months and months until you are a husk of the man and Pokémon theorist that you used to be. And today, I’d like to share with you all what I discovered during my treacherous journey through the mega evolution vortex of epistemic clarity.
